1. Shop for your produce at Farmer’s Markets and in locally owned grocery stores. It will be fresher and will support your local economy!
  2. Buy a healthy turkey. A fresh turkey is best but more expensive and go organic if possible. Do your homework see if you can equal out the expense on the turkey by cutting back on something else. Maybe it’s time to phase out that side dish that no one ends up eating?
  3. Reach out to someone who is alone this Thanksgiving. Or invite an elderly couple that might not be up to making their own Thanksgiving dinner to be a part of your wonderful celebration- that’s sustainable.
