From the inception of Mrs. Green’s World, we have been educating ourselves and others about the harmful ingredients in our personal care products including sunscreens, shampoos, skincare, make-up, hair and nail products and the list goes on. Because of our commitment to providing informed advice to help consumers work through the maze of which products and companies can be trusted, how to avoid being fooled by green-washing, and what scientific research reveals about the good, the bad and the carcinogenic, we did our research!

More often than not, our research led us to one source: ewg.org – The Environmental Working Group. Their mission is to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. With breakthrough research and education, they consistently drive consumer choice and civic action. We liked that they are a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment. We also liked that they were not funded by corporations or government organizations. We admired and respected them then and we feel the same about EWG almost 11 years later. We invite you to check out their Skin Deep Cosmetics Database which provides quick tips for choosing safer cosmetics, ratings on the safety of almost 74,000 products and a list of skincare products that have been EWG verified. We invite you to spend some time visiting the EWG site in order to live a safer, healthier and more environmentally friendly life!
