Solar Rock is an annual 100% solar powered festival that features local music, speeches from renowned scientists and local leaders, and educational booth displays from area businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies. This free public event aims to increase public awareness of climate change issues and, in doing so, put pressure on elected officials to prioritize clean energy and strategies for reducing carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.

Solar Rock takes place at Armory Park on March 18, 2012 from 11am – 4pm.

This year’s Solar Rock concert will coincide with Cyclovia, a car-free community cycling event. Armory Park is located along the Cyclovia course.

Solar Rock is sponsored by the Food Conspiracy Co-op and powered by GeoInnovation (who donate use of their solar trailer).
