Matt Herrington, Director of Sustainability at Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc.
Matt received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona and Master’s Degree from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. He began working for Golden Eagle Distributors in January, 2005 working in Marketing and Sales. In early 2012, Matt continued his career as Director of Sustainability for Golden Eagle Distributors. Since that time, Golden Eagle has converted their large delivery fleet in Tucson from Diesel to CNG (Compressed Natural Gas.) Currently they have just finished installing their own CNG Station at Golden Eagle in Tucson where they will be able to fuel their own vehicles as well as making the station available and open to the public.

Debbie Clagget is the self-proclaimed recycling police at TriSports.com, but also holds the title of Vice President in the company founded together with her husband, Seton. On a daily basis, she handles special events and sponsorship, though she does just about anything! Her education background includes a BS in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona, and she is an Entrepreneurial Fellow in the McGuire Center at U of A. She and her husband were very proud to be recognized for all of our sustainability efforts last year as the winner of the Mrs. Green’s World Arizona’s Greenest Workplace Contest, and they are excited to be judging this year. They hope to learn some great green ideas from other AZ businesses!
Seton Clagget is the CEO of TriSports.com, an online and retail triathlon store based in Tucson, AZ. He has a BS and MS from the University of Arizona in Hydrology and also graduated from the McGuire Entrepreneurship Program. TriSports.com has initiated many new sustainability efforts over the last 18-months including a 36,000 gallon water harvesting system and a 128 kW solar array.
Park Howell, President of Park and Company Marketing Communications, Inc
Park started his local advertising and marketing firm, Park&Co, in 1995 to ignite the growth of people, products, companies and causes that dare to make the world a better place. Park&Co has since done sustainability and green marketing work for Coca-Cola, Goodwill of Central Arizona, the Water – Use It Wisely Conservation Campaign, Arizona Nursery Association’s “Plant Something” campaign, and the new MAC6 conscious capitalism incubator in Tempe, Az.
Park was honored to be named the 2010 Advertising Person of the Year by the American Advertising Federation, Metro Phoenix, and his agency was recognized among the top 10 impact companies in 2011 by the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. He graduated from Washington State University and use his degrees in Communications and Music to help organizations craft and tell compelling stories to more quickly achieve their purpose-driven brand ideals.
Kimber Lanning, Executive Director of Local First Arizona
Kimber Lanning is an entrepreneur, economic specialist, and community activist who works to cultivate vibrant, sustainable communities and inspire a higher quality of life throughout Arizona. Lanning is actively involved in fostering cultural diversity, economic self-reliance, regional planning, and responsible growth for Arizona. She is the founder and Executive Director of Local First Arizona, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising public awareness of the positive economic and environmental impacts of supporting locally owned businesses.
The Mrs. Green Team
The Green Team includes eight professionals in technology, marketing and administrative fields who collaborate to support Mrs. Green’s multi-media network. That’s the official version. The real scoop is that this amazing, committed, dynamic, enthusiastic group of people are the “small but mighty” team that make all of the wheels on the Mrs. Green bus go round and round. Meet Cindy, Kelly, Lynn, Dave, Whitney, Amy, Bonnie, Joan and Debbie. We decided as a team that should there by a tie vote among the judges, we will make the hard decision and pick the winner!
