How does the company you are nominating exemplify the concepts of reducing, reusing and recycling? (500 character max.)

Recycle receptacles in all Tucson dealerships.  Honda building is green certified.  The carwash water is recycled. Parking lot is graded to allow water runoff to go to all plants.  All buildings use energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling. The Chapman Green Team. Recycle paper by printing on both sides or cut up paper to use as scratch pads.  Service departments recycle all boxes. Plastic bottles has been eliminated. Donate a tree for every car purchased. How does the company engage and inform employees and consumers about sustainability? (500 character max.)

The Chapman Community Green Team strives to educate fellow employees the need to protect the environment by recycling at work as well as at home. We have recycle receptacles that are clearly labeled in every building. Chapman Honda donates a free tree to each customer that purchases a vehicle through the Trees for Tucson organization.. We Have water fountains that can refill water bottles. This encourages recycling in every building, accessible to employees and customers.

How does the company you are nominating give back to the community? (500 character max.)

Through our GreenTeam, we enjoy volunteering our time to the Children’s clinic with candy donation, school supply donations and support for their events, being a sponsor for the hospital through charity donations.  For several years Chapman has partnered with Habitat for Humanity participating in a Sunday build day.  Chapman sponsors pet adoptions and is very proud to have found homes for nearly 100 dogs over the years.  We volunteered at the 2016 Angel Charity Ball.
