WP_MichaelMcKenzie-DTEMichael McKenzie, Lucky Nickel Ranch

Are you ready to hear from a farmer who has a passion, a commitment to excellence and a deep love of and respect for the earth?  Mike and his team believe in farming and eating in a sustainable way.  And they believe in helping others who want to help others. Lucky Nickel Ranch serves as an anchor farm model to help other individual farmers identify commodities that have established markets with growth potential.  They are on a mission to help us all eat healthier and they are succeeding.  I hope you will join us – I have been waiting for this show for a long time! This show sponsored by Discount Cab.

  1. Denise Stefanisin says:

I have talked with Michael and am trying to help him employ veterans, especially those with disabilities, on his organic farm to train them in organic farming, sustainable living, etc.

I am a Master Gardener with the University of Arizona in Maricopa County and have helped start community and school gardens, urban farms and farmers markets since 2004.

My husband, a Reserve Captain in the US Coast Guard, is on his 5th deployment overseas and we know first hand that there are many, many veterans in need of real help in various areas that include job training, homes, healthcare, etc.

We are making progress slowly. I am working in the Phoenix area with some of our politicians to reach out and help veterans. I am also trying to scout locations and promote Lucky Nickel’s organic CSA as well.

I can’t wait to listen to this show! Thank you!

  2. Great to have found out about you both. Please keep in touch with me, I just had my book; “Sustainable Food for the Globe, One Square Foot at a Time” published and if you are interested I can make it available as a free
download for you and anyone who wished to read it.

I am thrilled to meet you both! Let’s use techniques that creat worldwide food production in Abundance!
