Park After Dark at Tohono Chul Park
Friday, October 21 at 5:00 pm (PT)
Join us this fall as we celebrate Day of the Dead and the Sonoran Desert after dark. This year’s exhibit is Día de lost Muertos, a look at the art inspired by the customs of this distinctive family-centered borderlands tradition. Meet the artists from Día de los Muertos and Art Journaling, chat with local wildlife experts and make a connection with their bats, bugs, snakes and owls. There will be performances for the young and the young-at-heart including the fiesta sound of mariachis Luz de Luna and performances “Rumpelpigskin,” an original pantomime by the Desert Players. And before the evening is over, take time for “dinner on the go” catered by the Tea Room (fee), delicious ice cream courtesy of Blue Bell Creameries, snacks from Trader Joe’s or simply enjoy the desert night!
