Tucson Botanical Gardens Presents Owls: Rulers of the Night Skies

Thursday, March 31 at 6 pm (PT)

Owls have captivated the imagination of mankind for centuries, symbolizing everything from evil and death to wisdom and protection. In this class we dive into the classification, biology and conservation of these nocturnal birds. Can’t tell a whiskered screech-owl from a western screech-owl? Do you know which owl was long-thought to be quite rare, but turns out to be common? This class will give you the answers. We also learn the identification of owls by sight and sound. Jeff Babson of Sky Island Tours, who leads nighttime field trips for owls, will leads us into the world of these iconic birds.
Thursday, March 31st from 6 PM to 8 PM. $20 for the general public, $15 for members. Visit http://www.tucsonbotanical.org for more information.
