The Little Things
I am not exactly sure what prompted me to write this blog today but that happens quite a bit. Maybe it is because I commit to living every day fully & intentionally and I have lost some people very close to me recently. This isn’t a Debbie Downer blog – it’s a reminder to live your life with intention and purpose. Ready for this? It was written by my daughter, Katie Murphy-Darling to her grandfather over 15 years ago when she was 17 She was very close to him. I had it printed and framed. Here’s to living your MOST sustainable life & everything that means.
The Little Things
Too often we don’t realize what we have until it’s gone.
Too often we wait too late to say I’m sorry I wa wrong.
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones we hold dearest to your hearts,
And allow the stupid things to tear our lives apart.
Far too many times we let unimportant things get in our mind
and by then it’s too late to see what made us blind.
So be sure that you let people know how much they mean to you,
take the time to say the words before your time is through.
Be sure that you appreciate everything you’ve got,
And be thankful for the little things in life that mean a lot.

Here’s to loving your dear ones this Valentine’s Day & letting them know that- every day. And to Katie Murphy-Darling – for being her wonderful, considerate, amazing, loving self. You sustain me.

Barb – thanks for caring enough to write. As you well know, it’s always affirming to know that someone is out there being a part of this incredible journey.
